Sweat V's Steam Community Grant

The Sweat vs Steam Run Event raises money to support members of our local community, with all funds raised through the running of our annual run event going back into our community.

The Sweat vs Steam Event means we can:

  • Offer our community the chance to participate in recreation-based activities.

  • Financially support individuals, schools or community groups.

  • Provide the chance for individuals to build self-confidence.

  • Foster a sense of community and connection.

How you can get involved:

  1. ENTER the race as a participant, knowing your entry fee goes back into the community.

  2. SPONSOR: As a local individual or business, you could donate, sponsor, or provide in kind support. Please contact us to find out how you can get involved.

  3. APPLY FOR A GRANT: As an individual, school, not for profit organisation / community group you can apply for a grant foundation to receive funding for an upcoming project, specific event or the like.

How to apply:

Please consider an application for you, your group or someone who may benefit from our fund. No grant is too small for us to consider.

We have an expectation that, if successful, you and/or your organisation will support Sweat vs Steam by participating or volunteering to help run the event on the weekend. We require many helpers to make our event successful. The whole event is run by volunteers, there are no paid staff. Some of the tasks we require volunteers include:

  • Man drink stations

  • Marshall on course

  • Set-up and/or pack up course on the day

  • Assist with registration and bib distribution on Saturday and/or Sunday

  • On course entertainment, such as musical performance, dance routine, photography/videography, create memorabilia and more - the ideas could be endless!

  • Various other tasks or ideas you may have that can give back to the event.

2023 ENTRIES HAVE CLOSED. CHECK BACK LATER FOR 2024 APPLICATIONS

We look forward to receiving your application.
